Wow. That looks almost exactly like my hacker. May have to try out the ~2300kv model.

magman 07.05.2008 11:08 AM

And for the money...you can afford to try several... Looks like a good day to spend more money!

TruckBasher 07.05.2008 11:17 AM

I thought I'd be the guinea pig so I ordered 1 2075Kv will let you know as soon as it arrive. I know someone posted that they are gonna test this motor but I forgot who..

BL_RV0 07.05.2008 11:18 AM

What setup are you running in your e-maxx for it?

blueb8llz 07.05.2008 02:25 PM

isnt this motor a bit small for a emaxx?

TruckBasher 07.05.2008 02:44 PM

Well I might try it on my Maxx but most likely ill put it on the E-Revo...

For the size, if I read the diagram correctly its a 43mm x 70mm which is almost the same size as a XL can..I would know once it gets here, which Im not sure when...

blueb8llz 07.05.2008 04:41 PM

hmm..that website looks kinda sketchy to me. whats the store called? no contact info?
let us know how it goes.

TruckBasher 07.05.2008 04:44 PM

Yup, I know...but thats why Im the guinea pig....will let you know how things goes...

suicideneil 07.05.2008 05:49 PM

Oops, Lutach's secret is out...

TruckBasher 07.05.2008 06:00 PM

So it was lutach who posted it...whaaa I should have asked him before I ordered :(

suicideneil 07.05.2008 06:08 PM

I believe he is in the midst of testing them for re-sale purposes, but it doesnt hurt to have a few more testers before he goes spending lots of money to bring them to mass-market....

I look forward to hearing results.

BL_RV0 07.05.2008 08:05 PM

As do I. If these motors are any good, and the website isn't a scammer, this could open new possibilities in the inexpensive brushless world. My friend says that the website is totally legit. I believe he's on these forums as well, under the name of bush wack.

TruckBasher 07.05.2008 09:15 PM

well i hope I will get motor soon to test them... It will be best if lutach will carry this... Better for us.. Will post update when they arrive

beatle 07.05.2008 09:24 PM

I'm also interested after nuking my HobbyCity 9XL...

lutach 07.05.2008 11:39 PM

My secrete is not out and I'm very disappointed in what I received today. It did not come with the 5MM shaft. It came with 1/8 shaft. I'm pissed. I even paid $18 on EMS shipping and it took almost 20 days to get here and now this POS will definitely not handle what I was planning for it.

TruckBasher 07.06.2008 06:01 AM

Thats sad to hear...well too bad I ordered already...

Getter..If I am not mistaken Lutach made an order to test if it can fit his needs...then he will re-sell them...but from what he mentioned its nothing but pure disappointment....well if mine arrives, i'll just find use for it....

I actually know who makes them, but I couldn't place an order for 100 motors before I had a couple on my hand. Let me know if yours comes with the 5mm shaft.

beatle 07.06.2008 10:40 AM

Do you think this was a mix up or faulty information on their site? I agree that it's pretty disappointing, but aren't they still useful with a 1/8" shaft? Just use different pinions...

TruckBasher 07.06.2008 10:49 AM

Well, I just received an email from them saying it will be shipped in 2 days then about 2weeks to reach Asia....I just replied to that email saying that I need a 5MM shaft not a 1/8.....

Hopefully he'll give me a correct 1. I'll keep you guys posted

I have 2 C50-Maxx which are like a L size motor that now have broken their 1/8 shaft. The information on the site states a 5mm shaft as per the drawing. In my opinion, any XL size motor should come with 5mm shafts and make the 1/8" an option. The other thing you will see, is that the front end comes unscrewed without a hassle. So make sure you add some Loctite to keep it from causing any damages.

BL_RV0 07.06.2008 11:03 AM

You could use one of Mike's bore reducers for the test motor. That's what I'm using on my C50-Maxx.

If I had a truck with a transmission I could use it or just buy some MOD1 1/8 pinions, but my vehicles are all direct drive to the spur and the 1/8" shaft even with the adapter will eventually break. They tend to break right where the shaft thickens close to the bearing.

beatle 07.06.2008 11:34 AM

Thanks for the updates, lutach. I'm new to the larger BL motors so it's good to know that 5mm is a good size for the shaft for durability reasons. Have you contacted the vendor to see what their explanation is for the 1/8" shaft?

I sent him an e-mail yesterday and he replied saying that e was a bit confused about my question (It wasn't a question). He did say in the e-mail that he'll be resending 2 5mm motors. So now I just have to wait and see if they do come. One other thing I forgot to mention is to examine the magnet as I found scraps of broken magnet in one motor. The other motor might have some balancing issue as the plate that goes between the magnet and spacer seems bent. I'll try to get some pictures later, I've been busy test some stuff.

suicideneil 07.06.2008 04:32 PM

Damn, that sounds rather poor, I was rather hopefull these would turn out to be cheap & cheerful, like my hobbycity 9XL (seems I got a fairly good one compared to beatle's spinning toaster of doom).

Getter Robo 07.20.2008 07:26 PM

Anyhow, are there any updates about this motor?
I just noticed that there's been added an option to select the shaft diameter, they sure care about their customers :D

I'll buy one with 13 winds for my 6S lipo setup as soon as I sold some RC stuff!

TruckBasher 07.21.2008 01:52 AM

funny you asked....i just something from the mailman today....

Side by side with Neu motor
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/7855/dsc4085mu7.jpg

Ill be putting it on my E-revo and see how well it goes...

Motor looks good....if this perform well and lutach pairs this with the new 6S controller...damn ill be ordering from lutach soon

Getter Robo 07.21.2008 06:23 AM

Looks nice!
How come it's black anodized? Are the endbells pressed or are they held by screws?

lutach 07.21.2008 10:26 AM

How much play does the shaft have? The ones I have here with the 1/8" shaft have a lot of play and that's not good. I guess the place you bought it from knows what they're doing and sent you the correct motor. The factory just started out bad in my case . I'm waiting for the correct 5mm shafted motors to come in and I'll definitely pair the controller with them. The black motor looks nice, I'll ask the factory if they can make them blue for me .

The front end is screwed on and the ones I have will need to be glued as well so it doesn't come unscrewed. The rear is held by 3 screws and it seems to be glued as well.

Hey, do you feel like taking the endbell off and getting us a pic of the rotor and the windings? I would like to see what kind of magnet it uses...

Both the ones I have use one single magnet. It's a good thing to do is to open the motor and clean the magnet as I found some small peices of magnet stuck to the rotor. I might even go a bit crazy when the 2 correct motors comes in and wrap the magnet with either Kevlar, Carbon Fiber or some Spectra. The windings are basically the same as most Feigao and KD type motors.

In that case, I doubt it will be much better than a feigao. It will disapate heat better, and the can will not come apart as easy. Those are reason enough to buy this over a smooth, pressed endbell feigao.

suicideneil 07.21.2008 01:25 PM

Sweet, just need to see how it performs now, and get some temp info frm a good run.

Yes, the extra material will help the motor with heat issues. The bad thing about the 45mm cans is that they won't fit my MBX5T. I'm afraid to try them in my BPP and the extra weight of the truck will probably be too much for the 1/8" shaft.

chumanji 07.21.2008 01:42 PM

Can you post some pictures of the two ends of the motor? I would like to know how the endplates are bolted on.

The shop also got motors which look just like the smooth can feigaos

Assuming they are true clones, then the front is bolted on with 5 screws:

http://www.netpackx.com/commonImages...ain/IPCL15.jpg

and 3 screws on the rear, spaced equally around the edge.

Pedebeater 07.21.2008 02:18 PM

Anyone think the esc's on that site are worth trying? I am looking for a high amp esc to run on 6s with my truggy. I saw this 200amp esc that runs 8s, so it should be good on 6s. I would run machanical brakes seeing how it has no brakes. This would be an alternitive to the monster max, at a much lower price. Please let me know what you think.
