Dream RC's
1 Attachment(s)
Post up all your Dream RC's. Mines a Platinum Revo conversion, MMM Neu, 6s Lipo, Hyperion charger.
|
one I have seen on the net was a turbine powered RC Phantom jet that the owner used a hair dryer to start the turbine with and it did sound like an actual jet....
|
Haha, nicee
|
2c - should be a 1515, a DX3S, those batteries are a bad choice.
|
Mine is probably a 4wd HPI Baja with a 30.5CC engine. I could make it brushless, but then I wouldn't abuse it as much.
|
im really excited about the rc8t i have listed in my signature that will be here this week....my christmas and birthday present to myself. the truck is coming from amain and everything else is coming from mike along with his new chassis.
but for another dream car itd have to be a brushless FG 4wd 5th scale truck, or a brushless crawler (ive seen some that jump from rock to rock it seems) |

Hey Trev, go with a Z9100T servo, the S model will not have enough torque. Or go with a jr 8711, that is a badass servo, sepecially the HV model that can handle 2s lipo input. I would wire a ccbec directly into it, and turn it up to 7v. What a monster!!!!
|
LOL, you guys are killin me, since i have no clue, lets see. Help me build the most BAD ASS REVO
Platinum revo Servo: JR DS8711 Ultra Torque SX Digital Servo ESC: Mamba Monster Max Motor: Neu 1515 Battery Charger: Hyperion EOS 0610i Duo Radio: Spektrum DX3S DSM 3CH Surface Radio with Telemetry Bec: Castle Creations 10 Amp Adjustable BEC RC-M: Nitro Motor Mount. Battery Tray From RC-M Anything else? |
a monster truck with monster truck clearance but with a center diff and easy to maintain/takeout front and rear diff's that handles like a 8ight, is as quick as a r40, as big as a muggy, jumps like a rc8t, as tough as a savage, as cool looking as a revo, as scale as an sc8, that ,while on 6s lipos neu 1515 2.5d/f with a MMM, wieghs 5 pounds and is easier to wrench on than a radio flyer...yeah...that about sums it up....

A car with double sized deans connectors, and a 12s capable car esc hooked to a 1527 :)

God Only Knows???
I sure hope that I live long enough to see some of the projects that I would like to do. I have been playing with my Maxx collection for like three years now, and still have not gotten them setup the way I want. My R/C dreams are like a kid in a candy store. I have to say that I really do prefer the brushless vehicles to the gas/nitro power. Just too much bother with fuels and such. There are just a few that I hope to build. The Helfire, the XTM/MMT, The Baja 5b/SS, A nice road racer, and overall I would just like to build something that will go over 100MPH, and a 4X4 that will go right through brick walls and keep right on going, and most of all learn how to drive like the pros do. Not too much to ask???

my new dream rc is a losi 8ight conversion:whistle: (build comeing soon) |
I built my dream Rcs:
TXT-1 with all the optional aftermarket parts you can dream off, and BL power (albeit novak since the MMM didnt exist at the time). GorillaMaxx with all the aftermarket parts you can dream of and BL + lipo power = my current truck. Im living the dream.... |
That thing in my avatar is as close as I'm gonna get. I'm gonna be shamelessly egotistical on this one and say I did what I set out to do ;) and I wanted to make something like MutantMaxx when I was a kid.
And yes it will slaughter almost any RC remorselessly.. my running joke is that I hope it never gets hit by a Geo, the Geo would be totaled :) It's the best of all wheeled RC worlds, all terrain all weather plastic RC destroyer. It's my only RC surface vehicle and it takes the place of 5 or 6 (saves room) and it's a blast. You guys have been a big help- thanks again! |
My dream would be a super reliable 6x6 truck, I've got one in the works, so just hold tight and we'll see what comes of this plan.
PS: Anyone got 2 lst wheels and tires with the solid tread? |
An 8th scale M1A2 Abrams, all metal.
Cost would start at around 3k...... My realistic dream in process is a scale trail truck with some good crawling ability, only in the planning stages right now. |

I sort of took the route that Redshift did.. and had an idea for a dream basher and just went for it. Converted Revo 3.3, Tekno conversion, 1515 2.5D, RPM arms, Vantage chassis, Robinson Racing fwd only diff gears, OEMRC esc with Sportbec BEC, ACE servos and huge 7"wheels.
Despite all of my brushless conversions (4 now), I cannot state how fun this one has been. I usually run on 6s and the esc never even warms up. Once I get some steel CVDs I may try up to 10s and see what happens. As of now, I notice the center to rear plastic drive shaft shows signs of being twisted. |

Working on my dream one now.....
HPI Baja 5T truck, NEU 2215 and HV110 on 12S. |
Jeremy1976:
I use the MMM in my Hyper 8 with a 1515 2D, I have a Sentilion OEMRC esc in my Revo now. That picture was taken before those changes. |
Mine would have to be an MCD Baja 1000 converted on 12s FP 5000's, Lehner 30/80 10turn, Kontronik Jazz 63v ESC, Mega Infinity 960-SR charger, Aluminum/CF upgrade kit and a Futaba 4pk.
Thats my dream setup. |

I just want a revo, is that too much? LOL
|
I've been dying to get myself a HPI Baja for a while, but since we're talking dream RCs I'd go for an electric Baja. I'd go with a Neu 2230 3Y on 20S lipo and a CC SHV controller (probably go for the 200, even though I could use a smaller one).
|
A MLST with metal internal diff gears, and metal gear servos.

I want either an FG truck like our new friend from Germany posted, or a Baja 5T... Run on a giant lehner or more likely the fattest Neu that wont rip it to pieces. The wife said I could pick one with the tax return this year. (though ill wager our heating bill eats most of that return quickly) The sc8 looks nice too, but I feel like going big.
|

If I get lucky with returns and if (wishful thinking) they do another "Stimulus Check" I will probably go ahead and make my E-Baja 5B or maybe even 5T. |
yeah my next option would be a baja 5t

i agree with Neil. i have built, or am building my dream RCs. although i can still say i have a couple of dream RCs that will be down the road sometime. currently i am building a custom carbon fiber RC8T 1515 1.5D/F, 5s, MMM, and many custom upgrades. gonna be the sexiest rc8t out there:yes: also, upgrading my 75mph Schumacher 3spd. one of my dream RCs. back when i drove nitro and had a HPI Rs4 evo3 i used to dream about having a on road car that could do at least 50mph and not have to worry about a stupid carb and glow plug and roto start blah, blah, blah. well that was 5 years ago and now i have one. its a Schu GTRe, 3spd, 3s 3200mah, Castle 5700kv. lots of fun. and as posted i have a on road 1/5 that i have yet to convert. waiting to finish the RC8T first. hoping to turn the on road 1/5 into 2wd burnout smoking 65mph brushless racer on 10s and 1527 Neu. My brushless Losi 8t i would have to say is about as good a truck as i could ask for. Tough as hell, low maintenance, does 60mph and looks great doing it with upgrades galore. you can view thread if u search "Losi 8t build pics" But for the Dream projects that arent in the garage yet...hmm...so many choices... 1. a brushless 100mph Serpent 950R 2. brushless 4wd baja 5t, 10s, MGM, and 2215 Neu 3. a 4ws super scale crawler. just barely picked up an issue of "RC Crawler" for the first time and i ust say that i am now sold on building a badass crawler. but i want one that can crawl and throw rooster tails. ha! those are 3 that i would say are my "dreams" for now. hopefully they will be reality in the next few months. i always look at parts online and stuff and look forward to the day when my wallet recovers from all my current projects so i can start on these 3. its gonna be a while. oh well, at least i have something to look forward to. |
Quote:
let me know how that turns out. as you can see i listed as one of my "dream rcs" a brushless 5t on a Neu 2215. have you started a thread? any pics? |
Nice dreams, hopefully i'll be able to start my dream E-Revo someday.
|
Any or all of Shaun's cars
|
A Pair of MCD 1/5 scales one is on-road and one is off road
I already had one but sold it(man I miss that thing) |
i am also really missing my e-revo.. i wish I kept it and with MMM/Neu for power with my 6s setup..was running quark/9xl/6s 8000mah lipo(2x3s)....needless to say the most powerful truck I've ever run
|
Nicee, im working on my Tc3 right now, carpet racing =]
|
I wish I had a e-revo brushless with two nice 3s batteries.
