Brushless Revo V2.0
Ok, so I've been putting this off for who know howlong now (actually just about a month really) but I finally desided to make a thead about my Revo that i dubbed Evo 2.0. I named it 2.0 because my first version was well :020:. Honestly that was only because i couldnt wait to runt it :005:. Anywho, here she is....The current upgrades are as follows:

Like it squee, nice job
those wheels really set it off, it needs a couple more screws in the tranny though. :010: |
Yea, I forgot to put those on before I took the pictures....and before I ran it :013: Thanks! I like it to, but I think I like the g2r's better.
You did a nice job Squee.
Looks good! |
sweet man, it looks really good. Good job.
I like the purple and yellow. It looks pretty good.
Thanks yall!
Very nice squee! I too, prefer the g2r:)
I honestly think it wont handle to much better than it does now. The cg is REALLY low like it is and I think that it would be a better basher however i dont really bash that hard so I think the G2R will suffice. Only thing is I will loose my oneway up front until I put a center diff in it. Is there any way to use a slider up front? i have heard that there is something that they hit or something and thats the reason for the dog bones.
Very nice truck Squee, I like the arm's.
You cant use the slider because it rubs against the bulkhead area, why do you want to put a slider up there?
Mine turns better than a nitro revo without a one way, if you tried a G2R you'll throw away the stock chassis. The batteries are flatter and the tranny sits lower, giviong you even lower C.O.G. and don't worry baout the lowered chassis, I haven't found anything I couldn't get over
Im not really worried about the the ground clearance or anything like that. I just would like to run a oneway up front for a better handling truck. With rear brakes only it is so much better in the turns and it wont flip when you brake as well as you can slide the rear end around easier for faster turns. Either way, an electric revo will out handle a nitro revo...I was just saying though, the G2R cant make it handle much better than it is now. Mostly because of a pretty low cg and the oneway.
I guess have to get you one and found out for us squee. Then you can be a compare man for the two. Ask dafni about it to. He has both.
you gunna make us a vid squee:017:
I'll try, although it will only be with a digital camera.
Hey Squee, if you spent less time answering our inane questions, you'd have more time to post some updated pictures!!!

that is soooooo sick squee, and how did u make the drive shafts not rub?
Thanks! I had to cut the hump at the back about 3/4". Worth it since its cheap and they are stronger than the Maxx ones...
Yes.. a video would be very cool.... and again, very nice truck..

Awesome dude... I'm gonna get a revo and convert it too.... Once I see ur vid.. :)
Get that revo aqwut, it's an incredible piece of engineering.
My thoughts exactly! I may convert my Revo3.3 eventually.....we'll see.
You'll love it.!
The rockers, they have got this cool thing. The part that holds the pivotball, it's moon shaped, so they center the ball, so the screw falls in place perfectly.. the servo-saver, the turnbuckles can be removed from the front of the truck.. very easy if one brakes. Arh, i just love that truck. Seriously thinking about ditching another savage.. |
that revo is an awesome design... but how tough is it..?..
Tuff as hell!
I've only broke one arm each on my G2R and 3.3
Not my choice of words, but other than that, it's a big Amen..
Well, I have desided to start Evo V3.0...I already started but need a tranny to do anymore. I think I'ma go with a 5S or 6S setup, but maybe 4S for weight...I dunno about that yet...But...It's gonna have manuel brakes with a center diff, etc. I actually haven't run V2.0 much, since battery delimas and such, as well as school, but those problems are over with. It's actually gonna be similar to BrianG's BL Revo but slightly different...
Cool! You really should start a new thread for 3.0 though...
Since you are going with manual brakes, are you going to keep the two-speed? It'll be interesting to see how you attack this one. So far, I've only seen two other people use the stock tranny; Starscream and b0gh0s (forgive me if I forgot someone). If there was one thing I'd change on mine it's the motormount. I'd want a better one with some type of rear support. Other than that, I really like the CG since everything sits fairly low. And I assume you won't be using NiMHs. Good luck and don't forget to take pictures along the way! |
Squee, if you need a tranny, lets work out a trade of some sorts (I've got the one out of my Revo). Pm me if you're interested.
