doubel stacked mamba max how to..
is thier a tutorial on how to install a double stacked mamba max board? i have 2 mm and i want to make one monster.... is it serious surgery or is it just about solderin gcertain parts together....thanks!!
do u guys think there is a need for me to do this? its goin gin my 9xl revo.. i was just hoping for cooler temps. |
As far as I know GriffenRU is the only one doing this mod. I would be interested in trying this as well if there were a how to put together.
Then again... If the MMM is only really only 2-3 months away, I would probably just wait for it. |

it has been 2-3 months since last year... LOL
too bad there's no way to serial a mambamax together... |

LOL.. That would go beyond some laws..
|
Pshaw, laws are meant to be broken... or is that "rules"?
|
simple rule out the law..

I am looking forward for MMM as well, would be fun to tweak that one and to check out Castle's version neumotor. |
Not change the subject but, if Castle is planning on using Neu type motors they must have the fix to make their controllers work with that type of motor. That fix should make the brushless world a lot sweeter.
|
Definately. My only thought is that it was the segmented/slotted magnet that caused the issues between Neu motors & the MM esc; what if CC used a different type of magnet in their new Neus, then the programming fix wouldnt have been needed....
|
I for one am hoping that Castle sees the need to operate multi-pole motors.
Weither those motors are 2 pole, 4 pole, 6,8,10 or 12 pole, I hope they see the Quark kicked their butt that first round. Now it's time for them to redeem themselves and surpass the competition. I hope. |
There is a post on the castle thread re MMM from Patrick that they have a software fix for mm for slotted motors in test and "should be releasing shortly" - Pinch of salt required until seen

I, for one am looking forward to GriffinRU's how-to, especially since I will be getting two of the new version MMs (non-warranty replacements from CC), and CC has the new power boards available...
|
well its because my neighbor decided to do som etinkering to his mamba max and broke the brains board..he cracked it in half?!?! well i bought his fet board for $.50 and now i want to make a mamba king!
i was thinking about making a wider case so i can heatsink all of the fets on it...stand them up vertcally and heasink each side of it,.... i dont know how fat apart the boards connecters can be apart though..... |
GriffinRU has a pic of his double decker MM in one of the esc threads- the boards need to be fairly close to keep any wire joint resistance issues to a minimum- might only be able to properly heat-sink one board, but then again you might be able to use a fet-clamp like someone made, and allow the heat travel through it and escape through the heatsink fins on the upper layer of the sand-wich/clamp..... that made as much sense as a drunken Irish man speaking welsh....
