My Emaxx 3905 Vtwin With Pictures
Well I finally got it together. I am pretty impressed so far.. I am using Venom 2cell 5000 Lipos and 22/65 Gearing so far pretty impressed. I am thinking about trying some 3cell 5000 lipo but not sure if that will be to much

Wow that is sweet looking! Have you checked it's top speed yet?
|
I looks almost like mine. How did you mount your escs?
|
I used the 3m doubleside tape.. seem to be holding good. I am not sure how fast it is yet.. It appears to be 35-40mph on 2cell I am going to get some 3cell next week..

Looks cool, wonder if those two motors are as powerful as a KB45xl on 6s? We shall see! Here is the calc with the 2 speed in 2nd gear, 1st should be good for 40 mph! I think the KB motor will pull the speed, just wonder what esc to use?

In the dual brushless setup that I did awhile back, I lifted the red power wire from one of the ESC's. This way there was no feedback and no potential problems.
One BEC is plenty to carry your servos. |
How is the battery life ???

I would love to see a vid of your truck running.
Both on 2S and on 3S. It should kick butt as long as temps stay in check. |
I just got home.. I had to drive 2hrs get some 3s lipo.. Its insane.. I am going to try it with 1motor also
|
Please post some vids! Id like to see what she does =)
|
Well 1 motor sucks Big time.. With both motors and 2 3cell 4000 Venom Lipo 22/65 gearings it Insane fast I would say 55mph or so.. Its pretty nasty.. I will have video tommorow morning for everyone

I once had a dual brushless emaxx. It was probably the fastest and most uncontrollable truck I've built...it was a fun project:tongue:.

Nice Truck there. I have 2 new 3905 emaxx I am putting a 7xl on my other one with quark monster pro. should it that together next week
|
I thought about getting one of the new maxxs and making it as light as possible...seems like that would be a really fun project. Maybe goto a four shock setup with some UE spyder diffs, light rims, single BL, single servo, 4S....
BTW...Johnny Maxxima also has a dual BL system...but I haven't seen him on here for quite awhile. |
I am keeping my trucj prettymuch plastic I like to bash alot with mine
|
that's a nice looking e-maxx!
|
I am working on different gearing right now. ITs has way to much torque

I'm thinking about doing this dual setup as well. Have you had issues with it heating up at that gearing? Other than the Y harness for the ESC's what else did you have to do to get them to work?
|
Heat is not and issues,. the beauty of 2 motors less strain.. all you need is the y harness and remove the red wire from one of the esc
|
Nice, I can't wait to see that Vid. I'm very close to getting the twin V's. I think a nice video will put me over the edge.
|
Video is up
