My Emaxx 3905 Vtwin With Pictures - 01.04.2008, 10:10 PM

Well I finally got it together. I am pretty impressed so far.. I am using Venom 2cell 5000 Lipos and 22/65 Gearing so far pretty impressed. I am thinking about trying some 3cell 5000 lipo but not sure if that will be to much

I just ordered my 3 cells a little while ago. When I turn on 1 of my ESCs the other one turns on with it, but I have to turn them off individually. Does yours do the same thing?

Looks cool, wonder if those two motors are as powerful as a KB45xl on 6s? We shall see! Here is the calc with the 2 speed in 2nd gear, 1st should be good for 40 mph! I think the KB motor will pull the speed, just wonder what esc to use?

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075
Transmission Ratio: 1.16
Spur Tooth Count: 48
Pinion Tooth Count: 20
Total Voltage: 22.2
Motor KV: 1700
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.75
Total Motor Speed: 37740 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 70.11 MPH

I have 3, a 10xl 8xl and a 10l, just can't beat the prices, I also have pinions with 6mm bore in 18t and 20t. They are only good for a plastic spur thought, not hardened. I have also had mike make me a 2 speed adapter with 6mm bore for my aftershock/lst project. I will run it with the 10xl (1200kv) on 9s lipo thru a cc hv85! Stock gearing gets me to 47mph in second, and doing the tranny gear swap should get me over 50. The lst is a big truck and 50mph should be fun! I think that the emaxx will get the 8xl and 6s lipo. Not sure what esc to use!

That's totally normal. When the switch is turned on, the BEC is turned on. Without the BEC on, the ESC just sits idle since the brain circuitry isn't receiving any power. So when the BEC on one ESC is enabled, it basically powers up the other ESC's brain circuitry.

In the dual brushless setup that I did awhile back, I lifted the red power wire from one of the ESC's. This way there was no feedback and no potential problems.

One BEC is plenty to carry your servos.

Ok, that makes sense. I figured it was normal because all of the smoke stayed on the inside. LOL

I would love to see a vid of your truck running.

Both on 2S and on 3S.

It should kick butt as long as temps stay in check.
