Lipos in Parallel
 

Hello,

Can you run two lipos in parallel even if one of the packs has a smaller diameter wire? FYI, both packs are exactly the same except for the power lead diameter.

Yes IMO you can.

I run Lipo's in parallel quite often. I don't think the wire size will make that much difference.

One thing I want to add.

Just be sure they are about the same voltage before you hook them together.

If one is a few 10th's of a volt different, then it's ok.

Just don't hook a dead one to a fully charged one.

do u have a diagram of running them in parrallel? that will increase the runtime rite? Is there any other benefits?

Yes it will increase runtime by doubling the available mah's of capacity.

Let's say you are running 2 packs parrallel. Each pack is a 10C 4S1P 4000mah Lipo capable of 40 amps continous discharge.

In Parallel, they will supply 4S voltage at 8000mah and be able to deliver 80 amps continous working together.
