Switching B.E.C. on monster max

Hi guys is there a switch for the bec on monster max? or is it on 5.5 volts default setting ?Do i need to ajust it's BEC? By the way i just got my 2 escs today and will give report on it's performance once i got it running, will be running on maxamps 5000 mah 3s lipo (2) in series on a Neu 1515 1.5D (1700kv motor) in my Jammin truggy that will be use for racing

MMM has a fixed 5.5V bec in it. Its not adjustable like the CCBEC.

The adjustability was bad info.

Let us know how they run.

Good luck with those lipos...

I’ve got a stupid question for the team,
Can you simply disarm the existing BEC and add an external one / (IE) CC10amp one??

Thanks for your time

Shaun.

Same question here and would there be any benefit?

Two that I can think of off hand.
1. The MMM has 5. amps BEC were the other one for $17.00 is 10+ amps (twice the protection)
2. The CC external 10 amp BEC has been out for while and has proven itself to be a good buy and that it actually works well.

Not bashing the MMM in any way here team, I'm just thinking that it worth it to me to spend the extra $20 not have to experience any down time.

My thoughts exactly!! I would rather spend the 20 something dollars and have fun then smoke the internal bec and have to deal with it.

Will the cc bec be able to handle 2 4s lipo's in parallel?

You can have as many cells in parallel as you wish. Parallel connections will increase the capacity. However, if connected in series it will maintain the same capacity, but increase the voltage! So make sure to hook them up correctly.
