need mgm 16018 help
4 Attachment(s)
hi guys, i just received all the stuffs from mike:party: and they're very very nice:yipi:but i need some help from you guys:oops:it seems like that the mgm16018 that i got from mike is a newer version and all the wire came in pair:oh:well, i'm using 18 cell NiHM battery, and a tekno rc ed 1515 1y/f:oh:could any of you guys tell me which wire to which...for example, the mgm got 2 red, 2 black, and 6 yellow wires:surprised:i believed those 2 red and 2 black wires are for the battery, and those 6 yellow wires are for the motor, RIGHT??? and i think since i'm using 18 cell battery(2 packs of 9 cell, so i'm able to do 1 or 2 plug!), am i suppose just put 2 red together, 2 black together, and to a battery plug??? and about those 6 yellow wires to the tekno motor, MAN I'VE NO IDEA :tongue:so, i do really need help to figure that out and i hope that you guys will be able to help me, THANKS A MILLION IN ADVANCE!!! samsam from Hong Kong!

2 reds to battery +, 2 blacks to battery -, 2 each yellow wires (pairs on top of each other) to each motor plug. You are going to need 5.5 or 6.5 connectors to get all the wires in.
|
since the motor got BLUE, RED, and YELLOW WIRE, which to which???i mean in the THIRD PIC, let say the LEFT TOP/BOTTOM SET of wire to which COLOR WIRE OF THE TEKNO RC ED 1515 1Y/F MOTOR???thanks, bdebde.
|
It dosen't matter on the motor wires. What ever order you want will work. If it runs backwards then just switch any two wires(two pairs). Just keep the pairs together.

hi desmo, do you mean set#1 to blue motor wire???
set#2 to red motor wire??? set#3 to yellow motor wire??? and i got some of those hyperion 6mm gold bullet connectors, do you think is good enough??? thanks! P.S. do you like my other RC's??? |
:oh:don't understand why the wire is double on the 16018, i think you don't recieve a 16018, and you're very lucky, because you've paid for the 16018 and i think you have recieve a bigger one, like a 22418:whistle:
Lucky guys:lol: |
double wires are standard on mgm car controllers. when I was ordering my esc I asked for single wires as they are thick enough to handle the current

If it's standard, it from last few week/month. |
guys, i heard this from my friend who own a hobby shop ...well, he told me something like this...say after you got up to top speed and when you want to slow down, you can't just slow down or give break to slow down, he told me that i've to kind of tap the grip several time to slow down, and this really confuse me:neutral:how do you guys slow down when using the mgm 16018??? thanks, sam

sorry desmo, i don't think i'll be able to finish the xt8 in a few days cause i'm for these few weeks and the rest of my time i need to spend with my wife and baby, but i think i can get it done within a week or max two weeks, so by that time i'll post some pics and tell you guys how's my xt8 doing!

Mgm 160/18
I may be wrong, but it seems to me that your MGM controller came with double wires for running dual batteries and dual motors if you wish to use that configuration. If not then you can just cap the second set of wires leaving them dead ended. That is the only reason I would imagine having dual wires.
