2 reds to battery +, 2 blacks to battery -, 2 each yellow wires (pairs on top of each other) to each motor plug. You are going to need 5.5 or 6.5 connectors to get all the wires in.

It dosen't matter on the motor wires. What ever order you want will work. If it runs backwards then just switch any two wires(two pairs). Just keep the pairs together.

don't understand why the wire is double on the 16018, i think you don't recieve a 16018, and you're very lucky, because you've paid for the 16018 and i think you have recieve a bigger one, like a 22418

Lucky guys

double wires are standard on mgm car controllers. when I was ordering my esc I asked for single wires as they are thick enough to handle the current

I've order two 16018 last winter and they came with single wires. Maybe it's new feature from the newer batch who exit this spring.
If it's standard, it from last few week/month.

Mine slows down like most normal speed controls. It will coast in netural or brake when you hit the brakes. It will go into reverse after it stops.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that your MGM controller came with double wires for running dual batteries and dual motors if you wish to use that configuration. If not then you can just cap the second set of wires leaving them dead ended. That is the only reason I would imagine having dual wires.
