I'm geting a R1 pro thats been fried for $20
I guy used it in a 1/8 conversion and let the smoke out somehow, I'v been told that 1 of the FETs is fried,
these are the exact quotes. Quote:
any idea on how much $$ it will cost to fix? |
Well, if you can figure out which FET to buy, sucessfully solder a surface mount device without bridging any terminals, and that is the ONLY thing that is wrong, you could have it done pretty cheaply. First thing is to figure out the part number and go from there...
Personally, I'd see about getting it fixed from Tekin. Might possibly be more than fixing it yourslef, but may be cheaper in the long run if more than one component is bad... |
I know GriffinRU can fix it, but I haven't heard from him in a while now. He might even have the MOSFET with him. I know I sent him a few to fix my 60A ESC and it uses the same FET. Let me know if you want to sell it, cause I want to make me a 4 MOSFET (416A lol) board Super R1 Pro lol.

I can probly do it, I used to be able stack 6 prong FETs 4 high without them going poof(xmod/moneypit)
I was planing on sending it in to tekin, but doo you think that tekin could repair it? I looked at there website and they say that they can do it for $40 IF its repairable, anyone know how much it would be if it wasnt? |
That's lame, castle says $50 no matter what shape it is in.
