FYI: 36-80-1600 Weighs almost the same as a CC2200
I recieved my Medusa 80mm 1600kv motor yesterday. The first thing I did was take it out of the box an weight it. The medusa came in at 403g while the CC2200 that I have came in at ~421 I should note that that CC motor has longer motor leads and 6.5 bullets on it. That may be the difference right there.
Thought I'd through that out there incase any one was interested. -Brian |
The Medusa motor probably has tighter, better quality windings.:na:

Given similar design, motor weight is often a good indication of power output. The castle motor is larger in diameter, and has a finned can. Both add weight. IIRC the ccneu has a larger diameter magnet assy, so that will be heavier and produce more torque. I would be interested to see the magnet assemblies compared, but how do you get the endbell off a medusa?

I think you would hit the shaft on the end, to drive the endbell off. I have a 60mm end bell slipping out every now and then. Looks like its just friction holding it in.

Hey Linc: "Are you talking to me?" That is Robert DeNiro in the movie "Taxi Driver".
