First Drive: RCM 5s Lipos

Ive had these packs for a week or so but just got my motor back from Neu today, needless to say I was excited to see that little white box on my porch when i got home from school.

After getting the motor soldered up and checking everything over i went out and gave the packs their first run. Setup is and E-Revo with MMM/teckno Neu 1515/1y, and the truck was geared 22/65 which is right about 45 mph. ambient temp was right around 32 degrees F and initial pack temp was 65.

These packs have punch!!!! without warming the packs up i put them in the E-revo and noticed a big improvement in overal power when compared to my 4s setup that i have been running for a while. Wheelies at nearly ANY speed, top speed was impressive but i tried to limit going that fast as my badlands stated to look like dinner plates. the truck easily and accidentally backflipped off a small jump!!! On another good Note the new MIP cvd's and Hitek 7995 servo worked flawless as well! i did not get to run these packs to LVC, and i will see how many mAH were used during the 15-20 mins i was messing around.

Temps:
Motor: would not got above: 112
ESC: fan rarely came on and if it did it shut off in a few seconds
Batteries: at the end of the run: 85

Now to the bad: pretty sure that both my diffs are on their way out as they are getting rather noisy and i broke the front center driveshaft.

All in all Ide say that these packs are excellent, and i will continue to report on there performance.

Which 5s packs are these? 5s1p/5s2p, capacity?

sorry, i was in a rush. The packs were 5s 2500mAH run in parallel for 5s 5000mAH.

I just put the packs on my duo, and each pack had a voltage of 18.5V. This is after 15-20 min or running, about 10 min of which was in a grass field.

The 5s 1p 2500 fit in the E-revo chassis without mods? great thanks for the info

Yeah, my lipos (5s2p using those same 2500 cells) retain a high voltage too. The voltage only drops very near the end of the cycle. I think you'll be happy with them.

They fit perfectly, in fact they are almost the same exact size as my polyquest harcase lipos, so i dont have to change the compartment at all when switching packs!!!

How do you like the 30c PQ's? I have one but have not had a chance to try it out yet. I am going to be running it in my Slash.

They perform very well in my E-revo, i can gear from 35-45+ and they have no issues handling it. Cells are always balanced well and power is great. I would recommend them!
