Mod 1 revo gear on E-revo
Is it possible? or do you need a associated gear to run Mod-1? I am running buggy gears (V.1 rc-monster conversions) if overall gearing is the worry.
My plan is to run a 3095 transmission on my G2R with a custom E-Revo mount, I am wondering if its possible with more or less off the shelf parts. The reason for the custom motor mount, is for the esc to sit on the left of the tranny instead of the top. I could relocate the motor mount holes if necessary |
you can use the nitro revos spur gear and a smaller pinion. idk if it would be too small

double post... srry

So you can use a revo spur and it will connect with a pinion, not worried about gearing, i can get that. thanks, just wanted to know.
My current setup is using a 3096 Emaxx tranny w/gorillamaxx half tranny conversion and a strobe/51 mod-1 gearwith 20 tooth pinion, motor is a 1515/2.5d/f (1700kv) neu on 5s. here is BrianG's calc of it Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075 Transmission Ratio: 1.7222222222222223 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 51 Pinion Tooth Count: 20 Total Voltage: 18.5 Motor KV: 1650 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor coil Ω: 0.01 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 2.55 : 1 Total Ratio: 14.52628 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) Total Motor Speed: 30525 RPM Vehicle Speed: 36.26 mph (58.24 km/h) here is same pinion using E-mexx/revo (3095) with 40 (revo Mod-1) tooth spur Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075 Transmission Ratio: 1.8333333333333333 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 40 Pinion Tooth Count: 20 Total Voltage: 18.5 Motor KV: 1650 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor coil Ω: 0.01 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 2 : 1 Total Ratio: 12.12821 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.22 inches (462.82 mm) Total Motor Speed: 30525 RPM Vehicle Speed: 43.43 mph (69.76 km/h) only 7 MPH difference, so i'll be close. thanks for the info. if it becomes an issue of power, i can drop a 2250/10t in it, that'll pull any gear i want |
