5700 meltdown

So i hade some troubles at the track today. I got 1 lap in an my sc10 shutoff i went back to the pits an noticed that my car had a smell to it. I took the body off an noticed that the bullet plugs on my reedy 4900 35c battery were melted an leaning over. :surprised: Only thing i can think of is a couple of days before that my on off switch ripped out so i had to solder it back on i think mabey the solder is to close or touching the red power wire come off the esc. Any help ? i hope i did not destroy my battery an esc.

ANYONE have an idea what could be wrong

Not without more detailed information or close up macro pics. There could have been a number of causes.

My red motor wire melted off today wtf? Shouldn't the esc thermal before something like this happens?

Thats what i was thinking

ESC will not always thermal. ESC might have been fine and the wire might have had a bad connection somewhere. Bad connection will cause heat a wire to heat up.
