Redcat Rampage TT/Outrunner Question..

I'm doing some brainstorming and wanted some feedback.

Does anyone see any problems with trying to use this:

as a direct drive in place of the center differential in this

...?

I haven't crunched the #'s yet, but figure many of the issues with largeer conversions are with the pinion and spur gears, this approach would eliminate that.

As well, there would still be room to run a pair of 6s lipos in series alongside for good weight distribution.

that looks like a great idea. other people who have converted their rampages have needed custom gears and a ton of modification done to their trucks. your setup makes much more sense and looks much cheaper as well.

Its probably equivalent to an 80cc engine.

What about this one- http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store..._170Kv_/_3250W

Might be a bit easier to work with and is still equivalent to a 25-45cc gasser. And only $60!
