Redcat Rampage TT/Outrunner Question.. - 11.15.2009, 04:46 PM

I'm doing some brainstorming and wanted some feedback.

Does anyone see any problems with trying to use this:

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...ner_(eq:_70-55)

as a direct drive in place of the center differential in this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260466549405

...?

I haven't crunched the #'s yet, but figure many of the issues with largeer conversions are with the pinion and spur gears, this approach would eliminate that.

As well, there would still be room to run a pair of 6s lipos in series alongside for good weight distribution.
