How waterproof is the RX8?

I was just wondering if the electrics inside are coated like on the MMM:neutral:
Would it be possible to seal it a bit with a waterproof glue or sealent around the case and heatsink and possible some bluetack on the sensor port and fan port?

Cheers

Our esc's are conformal coated and can be water resilliant but they're not water proof. I would be worries about heat. What are you doing with it?

wouldnt mind know if its ok to do that as where i run in scotland its wet 80% of the time, and 98% of the time this time of year

Like I said, it's not waterproof. If you want to play in the wet I suggest making sure that no water get's on the speedo.

thnaks. was mostly really thinking about mud proof. but ill probably do the liquid electrical tape mod since ive got no warranty left anyway

throw a little packet of silica gel in the esc case if you must run it through water...

its the stuff that comes with shoes, elc. etc. and has a big DO NOT EAT warning on it
