Just get a negative bore reducer.

Seriously, I have no idea.

A 32-pitch spur might be a better idea.

yeah it would be if I could find one that could fit with a decent ratio. smallest spur I've found is 56t and that a good bit bigger than the stock 72t 48p ,so that would mean I'd have to run a really small pinion. not what I'm looking for.

Try rc4wd.com...they have a few.

What size pinion are you running now?

phildogg 12.30.2009 09:58 AM

right now I'm running a 30t pinion.

Then run a 23 tooth pinion that gives you a 2.435:1 where the the 72/30 gives you an even 2.4:1.

That would be great if it would fit. I suppose you mean a 32p. problem is they are too big to get any decent ratio. There just isn't enough adjustment.

whitrzac 12.30.2009 11:04 AM

what car?

BrianG 12.30.2009 11:09 AM

Probably his TC4 (in his sig)...

phildogg 12.30.2009 11:35 AM

yeah its for the tc4, thought I had that in the thread but didn't.

Dan @ Keshaw Designs and SDP-Si.com are the only places I know of that sell them. I had a 21 or 22 tooth brass pinion that was 5mm bore but the grub screw rounded out and I had to cut the gear off. If I still have the gear you can have it and use some loctite 604 to stick it to your shaft.
