Integy "Universal" setup station??
Bought one these a few months back and used it on my 8th scale buggy with no problems and as fate would have it our local 8th scale track closed so I sold all my off road stuff and bought a TC5X. It was then that the problems started with the not so universal setup station. The setup station came with several axle adapters but none that would fit a TC so I had to purchase a set that would..$20.00 bucks! I should have known the next problem was coming because as I said earlier I had already used the setup station on my 8th buggy. It comes with two connecting bars of different length for the toe scale and the one I used on my buggy was the shorter one, the longer bar would most likely work on a monster truck or 5th scale. So as you most likely have guessed the toe gauge connecting bar is way to long for my 10th scale TC5X even tough their add states that it will work with 1/8th and 1/10th scale RCV's!! I emailed Integy and not to my surprise they were of no help at all. I have came up with a solution to the problem, it will require a bit of machine work to the connecting bar for the toe scale.
My question is has anyone here used one of these on a TC or 1/10th scale buggy with any success? GeorgeC |
When they say 1/10th scale compatible it must mean bigger vehicles (trucks) like the E-Revo or Stampede, etc.

I bumped this thread up because I'm thinking about buying one of these. I usually avoid Integy, but I will admit they do have a few items that do a pretty good job for the money (kind of like Harbor Freight tools), and I'm hoping this may be one of them.
Does anyone have any experience with this setup station? The only other similar 1/8 setup station I know of is the Hudy, and there's no way I'm shelling out the cash for one of those (honestly debating whether the Integy is even worth it for how much I'll use it). It will be used with my 1/8 truggy and 1/8 GT. Anyway, insight and opinions are welcome! Here is the setup station: http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p...77&p_catid=163 |
Yea that's the same one I bought, and as long as you plain on using it for 1/8 RCV's it works fine. It gets a bit sloppy on 1/10 scale TC and you have to make an adapter for the toe scale.

you dont need any setup station. we have HUDY and I used it once or twice. it is just time consuming and since all the slop (which is good) on 1/8 scale vehicles once you put the car on wheels the settings can be several degrees of.
this is all you need for setting up race vehicle: board or at least flat surface Camber Gauge - Losi for few $ Ride Height Gauge - Losi for few $ Digital calipers for getting equal length on all the turnbuckles left/right which is needed for front toe - rear toe is ussually set with toe blocks and no measurement is needed - set the Front wheels equal and then just adjust based on vehicle behavior. 40cm ruler can help you to get to 0 degree toe and go from there |
True story for 1/8 off road racing.

For "1/10 setup" this one works very well, it's a HUDY knock off.

I want my truggy to have slop?

little bit. suspension needs to move freely.
hints - redrill arm holes to 4.2mm inner/ 3.2mm outer to get super free play i did it even on my onroad car and it helped a lot |
