Mamba monster speed control problem- blinking yellow and red
So i've had my system for a few months now, and its starting to become winter in michigan, so i read where you can use liquid tape to water proof the speed control. well i did that. BUT now it won't stop blinking red and yellow, the servos glitch back and forth. I can't figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions, or is there damage? If there is, how do i get all the liquid tape off so they can't find out? Any help would greatly be appreciated. i also can't get it to read on my castle link

Just run it, liquid tape is big waste and bad advice
I have runned mamba monster sevral dusin times in the snow and they are just fine, just be carefull with sea water(salt is conductive and corrosive) Back to your problem, its prob bad connection to the reciver ore bec issue |
A friend recently had a MMM that blinked yellow and red. I tried his servo it on my MMM and same problem, than I tried my servo on this MMM and problem solved. Conclusion: his servo was dead / causing the problem. Try to swap the servo and check again.
Once you use liquidtape the warranty is avoided (IIRC), it's a choice you make and you will have to deal with the consequences. Besides trying to ''cheat'' on CC, which isn't fair, it's not smart (to say the least) to say so on RCM in the CC part of the forums  @ freddy, not everyone is so lucky. I've read tons of MMM's dying because of water. If you are running in water just liquidtape the thing and face the fact that the guaranty is over. |
Lol, im not going to engolf my esc in some fancy chemical when it have worked just fine fpr years without.
Edit, i totally agree with you in one point.. faulty servo is an bec/esc killer |

its not the servos, because it will randomly just clicks on and works fine, but it mainly seems to do this when the fan is unplugged. because i plugged the fan in and ran it for 1 minute and it completely shut off everything causing me to run into a parked car, then it just continued doing the red and yellow blinking with my traxxas receiver blinking red and green once i brought it back in. it also was doing it this morning, until i unplugged the fan, then it just clicked on fine and started working. I haven't tried running it with the fan unplugged, but i shouldn't have an over heating problem considering its 20F here. I will test the servos once i get home. |
