I am waiting to score some parts, my t-bonz cvds did not fit in the hyper diff cups and I want the powerstroke shock set for it

what I got so far
Fiegao 540c 9xl and hacker comp
race bomb chassi
aluminum trans case with ultramaxx gears
flm hybrid bulks with hyper7 6 spiders diffs
UE stage 3
UE servo saver 4
UE shock towers
UE monster rims with jumbo clawdawgs

need me some cvds and powerstroke shocks to complete

can not wait to finnish this up

Sylvester 04.19.2006 02:06 PM

Looks nice!

neweuser 04.19.2006 02:21 PM

how do you like the hybrids? Spyders go in ok? Did you have to mod?

pcnutz 04.19.2006 02:24 PM

I got 2 sets of hybrids, the diffs fit perfect, only used one shim. but you need to break your dremel out, I had to dremel on my UE shocktowers and rear bulks to fit lower arms in

Sylvester 04.19.2006 02:39 PM

Yeah, UE and FLM parts dont like eachother too much;)

neweuser 04.19.2006 03:00 PM

Do you have to use UE, cuz i have dynamite cvd's?

Sylvester 04.19.2006 04:31 PM

What do you mean? You dont HAVE to use UE parts, but they are close to indesctrutable.

Serum 04.19.2006 04:58 PM

Are t-bonz cvd's long enough? the only cvd's i know of that work with the 1/8th diffs are either UE's or MIP's.

Sylvester 04.19.2006 05:02 PM

Im not sure, they are similar to RDLOGICS so i think they are indeed too short.

pcnutz 04.19.2006 10:02 PM

dunno if they are long enough, they do not fit in either my kyosho or ofna drive cups so no sense in getting them

Nice truck man, that will be really cool when you get it all fixed up.

finnished the truck somewhat
still need to work on suspension
I kept bending mip cvds on the front end, I could not move the knuckles in far enough and the would pop out and bind
so I took a rdlogics revo bone, attached it to my tbonz t-maxx spindle and whalla perfect fit
now I have to open up trans due to I snapped somthing on the spur shaft and the shaft slides right out ;(

pcnutz 04.26.2006 05:00 PM

worst part is that trans with ultrmaxxed gears stood upto to dual 9L and a single 9xl broke it

coolhandcountry 04.26.2006 06:22 PM

I would guess the pin thru the gears on the input shaft has come out. It is not a big thing. That is the weak link in the trans after a single speed or steel idlers. How you like the 9xl?
