Spur gear for G2R ?
Is this (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXBJC6&P=) working for e-maxx tranny?
Spur gear on my G2R was melted about 1 min I ran my truck. I'd like to change to stronger spur gear. |
NEVER go with steel unless you can't help it. Get the plastic kit for a E-maxx or better yet, a Strobe setup. The steel requires a hardened pinion which is fairly expensive.
|
Ok.. I may stick with plastic spur...
Then... What kind of stobe setup would you recommend? |
The Strobe slipper, a 51T Nylon spur gear, and a mod1 pinion should be all you need.
|
However, actually obtaining a strobe might be a challenge as they seem to be out of stock everywhere...
|
Thats cause they quite making them :mad:1 :012: :frown: :031: .
|
I guess I was smart then for ordering two! I still have one that has never been used, and it's all mine! haha! >:)
|
Somebody could make a few smackers bringing them back into productions...

Do you guys have any idea where I can buy one? Any link...? |
If everybodys out of stock, then try Ebay.
|
I've been watching Ebay for 'em for a while also....no luck.
Anybody ever try the Robinson Racing Slipper set up http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBJB5&P=0? |
How about this one? (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBJB6&P=7)
Is this working for e-maxx tranny? |
That one will work. Just make sure not to get the steel spur version.
|
get the plastic 72 tooth gear and it will be good, need a new pinion as well
