Spur gear for G2R ? - 07.24.2006, 09:17 PM

Is this (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXBJC6&P=) working for e-maxx tranny?
Spur gear on my G2R was melted about 1 min I ran my truck.
I'd like to change to stronger spur gear.

NEVER go with steel unless you can't help it. Get the plastic kit for a E-maxx or better yet, a Strobe setup. The steel requires a hardened pinion which is fairly expensive.

The Strobe slipper, a 51T Nylon spur gear, and a mod1 pinion should be all you need.

However, actually obtaining a strobe might be a challenge as they seem to be out of stock everywhere...

You know, I mentioned that a while back in another thread and the guy at strobe jumped all over my case about "stealing ideas" and whatnot. Even though that wasn't my intent (to steal his design), the fact remains that the market wants something like that and if he can't deliver, someone else will. Nothing against Strobe - I love mine, but facts are facts.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

That one will work. Just make sure not to get the steel spur version.

get the plastic 72 tooth gear and it will be good, need a new pinion as well

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
