2.5 chassis: CVD’s for a single speed
So I put together my single speed and grinded away enough of the chassis for it to drop in. Now I need to link it to the diffs. What are my options? CVD’s? 3.3 Sliders? I haven’t decided on electronics, most likely an 8L.

well grind off the humps on the chassis and then u can use two long center revo shafts witch are cheap and work very well, and for the motor i think u want a 8xl the 8l is smaller and it will heat up faster

8L is quite hot.

Stick with xl's

Any tips on how to figure out where to drill the chassis to mount the tranny. |
if you are going to use the slider centre shafts (which is a good idea) then its not that critical where you drill the holes as long as you can mount the tranny... the sliders alow you some flexibility as to where the tranny sits

Any tips on making a template before drilling into the chassis. I figure I only have one shot at this.

When I made by first Revo this way, I just measured the distances between the varous holes...
