Balancing NiMH?
Would there be any reason to balance a NiMH pack? Is it even possible? I have never heard of it until today. I over heard a short conversation about it possibly prolonging the life of the packs.

They make trays that do that for the side by side packs.

Well, there's my No0b shining through. Like this?

The only people I am aware of that do this are very competitive racers. Rarely do any bashers balance there packs. Especially when they usually run more than 6 cells, so you can't really balance them.

With this tray you can balance 8 NIMH cells at a time. If your using unmatched cells theres no need to do this in my opinion. But if your using matched cells it's worth it in my opinion. You get more punch & longer cell life . I use 2 of these on my NIMH cells http://teamtekin.com/batterycare.html |
well from what I've heard the trickle charge part after the normal fast charge balances the pack.

I've always heard the exact oppisite. Once the charge is done you take them of the charger. |
I haven't seen that Tekin one before. I was mainly referring to the Novak one though, only being able to do 6 cells. But the Tekin one will be good for mt racers and converted truggies, etc. IMO.
