MGM Programming Question
Hey guys - I have a question about programming my MGM. Big surprise, eh? Well, I got the 160 from Mike this last week and have done a preliminary transmitter programming thanks to Jhautz and a few others posts. The problem is that I pait $30 for that USB connector and it's not doing a dang thing! Do I NEED to have that other $10 patch cord that is out of stock right now or can I do it w/o it? I would really like to customize everything and make sure I did the settings correct. Any help is great - thanks.

I used both to do it. I am not sure if there is another way. Maybe someone else.....?
Well, there are diagrams that show you how to do it without but none of them actually work.
do you have battery connected to the ESC while using USB? you have to have it connected
Yep, there's power to the ESC. We've even tried doing a "Y" cable scenario in the .pdf and nothing seems to work.
I don't know if you understood what he meant. You need the main battery connected to the esc, unlike the MM. It doesn't seem right but it does work either way with the esc to rx cable or the seperate C02 cable.
Yeah, I've had the main battery hooked up to the ESC. I don't run a reciever pack, but I tried that way too. Basically it looks like I have to get the other $10 cable. Everything else seems to fail.
