Diff rebuild question.

I am putting my FLM hybrid bulks and HB diff together. I don't want to put it together backwards.

When looking at a OE E-Maxx diff housing there is a thin conical shaped 1/2 and a thicker square 1/2. Am I correct that the ring gear is on the thin side and the cup is on the thicker side?

with bushels it does not matter which way the diffs are arranged. as long as the front diff is opposite as the rear diff it if goes in reverse just switch the motor wire. I can not remember how the diff fits in the housing. if i can remember right i think it fits on both sides fine but i think you might be right, but i am not sure. try the diff on both sides with the pinion mesh and see what one works better, if they work the same it probably does not matter(maybe it does). sorry cant really remember how my diffs are in the hybrids

What exactly are bushels?

can't put my finger on it.

Have you got helical cut gears? they have got a favourite way of turning.

No worry mate, i've got plenty of bushels upstairs! (not kidding either)

can i send mine across the pond to be put in yours to get done? i hate laundry.

i think i have sore bushels, too. the non-laundry kind.

I have the HBC8030 13T bevel gear. Will that be an 8mm shim?
