5s1p A123 w/8L c40 hacker = Wheelie galore
I finally got the hacker 8L c40 hooked up on my rustler. I used the heavy beadlocks just too see what it could do. Went crazy with the gearing as well, and used 87/26 with 5s1p A123 cells. I never was able to blow the dirthawgs of the beadlocks before. I finally did it:yipi: Wheelies were on demand with the heavy beadlocks on. Just nuts.

Aluminum has no voice, but if it did, I think that bumper would have "words" for your new Hacker...
Sweetest Rustler ever. I like the clean look of the wiring, and all the goodies. Wish I could get an aluminum transmission case for my XXXT, or be able to fit a finned can in there. |
Nice man. Although, that looks like a Feigao 40 size motor to me? Am i wrong?
|
The motor can is smaller in diameter. The Fins just makes it look bigger then it really is.
here's a comparison pic. The middle motor is a 8s Feigao. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/DSCF1649.jpg |
I believe you that it's a hacker. I've seen one like that at racing.
|
No, I was just showing the length of the motor.
I'm thinking about getting a N60 Trinity and a 380L and see if they look similar. |
Yeah, do Hackers have a segmented rotor? I hear they are more efficient than Feigaos, which isn't hard to do really...
BTW, this has been nagging me for a long time.... PATRICK, what is in that dogs mouth?? |

hehe, it looks like his leg is in his mouth... if you would feed him more food, then he wouldn't have to eat his leg...

i think that bumper is plastic by the way the chrome has scratched off.
From looking at my own hacker c40 8s it seems the rotor is not segmented but however i believe that its still a very efficient motor with much better construction than a kontronik twist. in short the twist i would not recomend over a hacker c40 for a number of reasons. 1. the output shaft is very short making using it in some vehicles impossible. 2. the shaft is only 1/8th all the way thorugh using quite small bearings compared to the hackers larger shaft that has oversized bearings. 3. the fins for cooling are not as good as the hackers. 4. its not easily rebuildable like the hacker c40 motors. |
