Really? I will have to check that out then and give HPI a call. I know the when I spoke to HPI they asked what pinion I was running and didn't mention it was wrong.. I got some research to do...

I will have to check on the 50t spur...The 54 does not work because I am running 2 lipo packs. I have the center diff turned around and the can of the engine facing the front of the truck.

The gearing was 46/20. It's a bummer for sure. The motor on the first battery pack. Was running fine though. Just half way through the second pack came the dreaded smoke and smell
