Not really. I run a 32P on my emaxx with no problem. It's more a result of most nitro cars are set up with MOD 1 from the factory, so getting a MOD 1 pinion to match makes sense.

Well darnint, my problem of not reading the posts rears its ugly head again. I didn't see the 80mm in there for some reason. Now that I see that, i'd have to say it would probably be a pretty close...

If you'd rather be overpowered than underpowered, go Castle.

There's one place: hobbycity.com

I'd go with making a tray out of kydex. You won't have room to put anything in there that has walls greater than 0.125". Have fun with making the mount! :)

I use the TDracing mount/single speed conversion and it's great. Very solid, and well worth the money. I've got a 2200Kv and I run it with a 6S 5000MAh Zippy H. It's a monster, and only costs $133...

I've never moved mine off of the stock tune, and feel no need to do so. If you have a gas weedwhacker, I bet you never have to tune that...the baja engine is essentially the same thing.

First, it's Zippy, not sippy. No idea where you got that from.

From the eagletree results I've seen from my Zippy, it does not perform like a "cheap pack" to me. Kicking out 150A and dropping...

Didn't hit the LVC, so can't help ya there. I did end up drawing it down to 10% or so, charged it back to 50%, cells are within a few hundreths of a volt of each other. I bought the pack used...

That 9A on average is misleading, because there's a fair bit of dead time in the graph that you don't see...it's averaging your draws over your total runtime. I don't pay attention to it. I look to...

I believe that I'm geared 24/66 and the speed is in the 40mph+ range. Plenty fast for my use. I was launching it into outer space with 5S; I can't even imagine how high/far I'd get with the current...

Just a bit of an amendment to what I said before. I've got the Zippy H 6S 5000MAh pack.

So I wasn't pulling 38C, it was more like 30.8C, which makes me feel a lot better, and also explains much...

No, just used the hand-o-meter. It was barely warm. The motor temped at 117, and the pack wasn't near that, I'd say maybe 100 - 105?

I'd say there's another problem if blue won't hold it. I don't even use any loctite on my pinion grub screws. Never needed it. I'd check alignment, mesh and look for vibration.
