Aight. I just used two flat washers on either side of the spring. It took a couple of tightening and untightenings to get it flat. Works good now.

Now i have to deal with the pinion flying off....

I have the Emaxx single speed transmission on a G3R chassis. Converting back to stock emaxx spur, 32pitch pinion etc.

Ha! I sold about $40 worth of stock emaxx pinion/spurs a few months ago.

The 9t/51t on 16.8v and 4800kv motor puts me at 27.8:1 final drive. That is super close to the recommended 28:1 for 14...

I don't know about the clutch/emaxx stuff but you can get Mod-1 pinions from towerhobbies (century motor gear) do a search. And rc-monster sells some too. Tower sells down to a 9t mod-1 5mm pinion.
