I own both and to me they drive about the same...
I own both and to me they drive about the same they both turn great and are very stable and easy to drive but they also can be pushed hard with out getting out of control but both have a few problems...

I would stick with the same brand shocks get 2 sets of 808 rear shocks and springs but for the rear you will need a set of mounts off a rear set of losi8t shocks so it will still have the same droop...

I have raced st-r last year and st-rr this year and love it, only broke a few parts but it was my fault I would go with the st-rr parts are easier to get at hobby shops plus it already has big bores...
