I tried it without the red wire with battery...

I tried it without the red wire with battery attached. It doesn't matter...the ESC is dead.

Well, spoke to Tom at CC tech support today and he felt like it's the ESC...so it's a waiting game for my replacement to arrive, none in stock at the moment...he also checked on my replacement MMMV3...
