Has anyone tried putting slash big bore shocks with the taller front shock tower? I want to do this but don't to spend an arm and a leg for the 1/8 scale shocks..

seems like a lot of people from I have read using the novak 550 motor with another speedo.. Are the 1/8 systems overkill? like the 2650?
