Computer Build and Introduction

I guess all start with intro...

Well my name is Mitch and 16 yrs old. I've been watching these forums for a while and only recently became a member. I have a converted E-revo and a Hyper9e (all brushless of course).

For a couple of weeks I have been researching computers and which setup will suit my needs (extreme performance) and I came up with this list that I ordered Tuesday.


-Case

-PSU

-Memory

-CPU

-Mobo

-CPU cooler

-Display

-Graphics card

I already have a couple spare HD's so no need to spend any more.


As far as building goes, our family has three custom computers already so I'm assuming this build will not be too difficult. And yes, I did pay for this entirely myself. I was dishes at the local pizza place. i'll give you guys a full update and pics when it comes fri.

I hope my six year old boy grows up to be like you. Hard working, resourceful, honest with the drive and willingness to follow through with any project he can think of. By the way, I don't know much about computers but the stuff looks cool.

Good for you for working to get what you want. Not enough people are willing to put the work in. If you keep on laboring your life will be much easier.

Good for you man, I was working at a candy factory when I turned 16 to afford my games and stuff. I didn't build my first computer till I was almost 21. It's an awesome experience doing it for your first time.

Beyond the case which I personally don't care for, you've definently done your homework and picked out quality components all around. I remember researching for 3-4 months in regards to everything before building my computer back in spring of 2001. It was alot of work, but it paid off. Let me know if you have any questions.

Are you going to be running SLI or Crossfire or just single vid card?

I'll be running just a single for now. It should still be plenty of powa to run/play anything on the highest resolution and settings. And for the PSU I couldn't pass up $-40 instant savings, and the case supposedly has a lot of room for wiring.

I know for some of the older people here the case may not look so great, but cmon... digital camo, pretty sweet for that price

I suppose, i'm more of an Antec case fine myself. This is my current build "Black Ice" I've probably done close to a dozen custom modified cases over the years, including water cooling when I was in my computer building prime. Now i'm just wanting silence and simplicity.

I custom made the HDD suspension cables to reduce drive noise.

Wow! Nice build. That case definitely makes the computer look very clean.

I'm actually typing on a Antec cased computer right now. I like the 900 but I wanted something unique if I'm going to spend that much money.

Only thing that would make me not want to do the hard drive mount stringy thing is if you wanted more the one HD, hanging two looks like a challenge.

it is not possible to keep inside looking clean :) just too many wires and continuous upgrades. however everything is cool and very, very quiet thanks to Noctua fans.

Noctura fans are sweeet! I have used them in the past. They won't fit in the Antec Skeleton case very well.

Looks like a solid build..

Nocturas are nice, just farking expensive..... The Typhoon I got is a nice balance of price and noise.

I don't know about more internal space. I was looking at a couple of youtube reviews and they said it had quite a lot of internal space for a mid tower.

These would be better options IMO, especially the P183, awesome case to reduce noise

Have you looked at the Lian Li's?

I know a few people who are quite happy with their Lian Li's and swear by them.

Besides that, that computer should blow everything out of the water.
I, personally, would've went with the i7-920, but hey, it is a pretty penny.

Since everybody else is contributing, I'll toss in my BUDGET computer..
