I use the front and rear covers on my 1506 and they seem to do the trick - but I don't drive in sand either. Also do your shrink and your plugs after you put on the rear cover.. I had mine on before I had the cover and of course they didn't fit through.

I know of a few places that have them, but there all smooth can, and since im ordering the front and rear covers from Mike, I might as well order a motor
I hope I dont fry a motor because of sand, that would stink
