Sooooo..... that's why a few Monsters have died peacefully, while most are going strong and should not have such issues.

Castle told me today that any Monsters that are sent in are being put at the front of the line... and it's a simple component swap.

Suks that some of the guys outside the US got a bad one.

That really sucks for CC. Bad press for an otherwise great product. Id be havin some words with that component supplier and makin sure it doesnt happen again.

The only other copmplaint I have about the MMM so far is the fans are junk. Mine quit already after 1 race day and the only other guy around here with a MMM also had his fan die after 1 race day and some test runs.

CC was cool about sending out a replacement post haste.... But I have a feeling this wont be the last time it gets replaced. I'd like to see an optional top half of the case that gets rid of the fan and exposes the heatsink to some natural air flow. I'm willing to bet it doesnt need the fan for 95% of applications.

I wonder if they would sell me just a top half of the case that I could modify. As it is, without a fan it seems like it would be hard to get enough air in there to keep it cool.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
