As far as OS engines I personally have put about 5 gallons through my os.18tm and it sill runs like new I have heard them go as much as 10 gallons without a rebuild. It might not last as long if your tuning abilities are not refined. Brushless seems to be easy plug and play maybe a gear change for differnt voltage. Nitro is a little more challenging and takes a little more tunning abilities to make it perform its best. Maybe its just me but I like that challenge. I tell you what tuning a model nitro aint shit compared to tuning and syncing two dual carburated 1100hp each blown 572's in a boat. This is a vid of my other hobbie building engines.

Is that around the 30' mark?
Do you have a vid showing the whole boat with it at WOT? From what I saw, I like it.
I've always been a big fan of big ocean racing boats. Turbine power rocks!
