I would go with muggy diffs, and a 13t pinion. With the tire info set as Ross specified you get 41mph. Small pinions are not such a good idea, they wear fast and do not treat the spur very well. I run a 49t spur in my muggy, with a 14/15t pinion IIRC. With a 1600kv motor on 6s lipo it does well. I run std MT tires, badlands usually, on it. Keeps the weight down, and the rotational mass as well. Lighter wheels/tires are a must, especially if you plan to run the smaller capacity lipo. Also the muggy diffs will allow you gear down a bit if necessary, maybe a 12t or 11t. A larger spur would be the best bet, as it just gives more gearing flexibility.
