KD product are not of particularly high quality IMO after owning a few. I can't see plastic gear too much power power. I would either keep the tranny and use the HD gears as neccessary, or just go to a center diff setup.

So you say that i should buy the biggest motor possible but i hesitate between the 1717 and the 1520.

I used HD gears in the gear box of my savage flux and they are not really resistants...

Also i will run in 6s or 4s it will depends.

I don't like plastic gear in the KD's direct drive at all (as you Finnster).
