well, this is a hard deal to pass up. $35 for a single loose cell, 10000mah. BUT, will it be good enough to blast a Neu powered Muggy to over 60mph?? I would build a 6S pack. here's the specs:

10000mah Capacity
3.7 Volts
59mm X 155mm X 10mm
Maximum Continuous Discharge 100 amps
Burst to 200-300 amps
200 grams

I know it won't be the best battery, but wow would it be cheap! I don't have anything yet, so I know the question is vague, but what do you guys think? Can I hit 60 using a 6S with these cells?

The cells are good for 100amps cont, so question would be can 2200 watts max get a muggy to hit 60mph? I do not think that the pack is goof enough. 8s may do it...

yeah, I had a feeling the answer would be no. oh well, had to ask! I didn't really want to build a lipo pack anyway.

For an 8s setup in a big truck they would be good. Still lighter than the same voltage worth of nimhs, but not much!

I had a few packs, and at 4s they were not good enough to keep up with a 7xl.

Wow, maybe that's why they're on sale.. I'd think they'd be good for that, atleast...

pardon my ignorance, but if you are just trying to get up to 60 for a speed run, not maintain 60mph for a period of time, wouldn't you use the burst amperage (they claim 200-300 amps) to figure top speed?
As I assume I am probably wrong, let me know so that I don't make the mistake again.

Well if you were attempting to do speed runs, there would be no reason to use a 10,000 mah pack with the same amp rating as a 5000 mah pack anyway. Otherwise you are just adding weight. I bet a neu energy 4s 3300 mah 30c pack which costs the same amount will out do a 10,000 mah 10c maxamps pack, and it will be about a pound less weight. Maxamps cells are overrated imo.

So then was he suggesting he wants to be able to maintain 60mph in a muggy? I guess I just don't see a 11+ lb rc vehicle being very stable and nimble at 60mph, so I didn't see trying to run at 60mph constantly as the question being asked.
Also, are you saying that a 4s neu will outperform a 6s maxamp?
BTW, honestly when I posted before, I was just asking if when figuring out maximum watts, is it appropriate to use the continuous number and not the sustained or burst figures?

Sorry, I didn't read the 6s part, but 4s or 6s, same deal... you are still better off with the lower capacity high c rate pack for speed runs. The maximum burst current for any pack is usually around twice as much as its continuous rating, but i wouldn't go by a packs burst rating because different companies measure them differently. e.g 10 seconds vs. 30 seconds.
