New One-Piece Battery Tray Question - 07.08.2008, 09:23 PM

Is there enough material to dremel out a 4-6mm groove out of one side so the tray will lay flat and to the edge of a crt chassis. I want to make sure my battery has no way of contacting the spur gear.

It looks like the wall thickness is ~1/8" thick, don't know if that is enough. If you need room, how about mounting it on its side?

For the CRT, you could use the standard tray without a spacer. There is plenty of room on the CRT to mount the battery and clear the spur gear. Our motor mount also has a built in "guard" that is meant to prevent the battery from contacting the spur gear. :)
