Exclamation Traxxas slash brushless motor choice - 03.17.2009, 01:16 AM

I plan running my slash on 11.1v which motor do you recommend me ? I know mamba 4600kv and velineon 3500kv but I prefer lower-kv/higher-voltage..

or

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLXA0

geared jato spur 32p - 58t/15t @ 11.1v @ 28860 RPM = would give me tons of runtime & top speed of 40mph .. and should run cool since I dont pull alot of RPM..

im looking for something under 100$ but dont want feigao

I always felt the feigao motors were better than the ammo motors I tried.

The medusa rootar mentions is the best bet... Slightly more than 100 bucks, but well worth it.

As for the spinning toasters of death from UH/HC... Well that is just a waste of time.

I think the velineon on 3s is a great choice. I really don't see why you would need much more motor in a truck that light, and tires that small. It has kept me content. I thought it ran fine with an L can 380 as well. I've had a couple of the bidproduct motors, def better than the hc ones, still would go with the traxxas.

yup medusa 1st or 2nd a feagio, ive had a few 9L feagios with ALOT of running on them (talking over a 100 HOURS of use atleast worn out two 3s lipos on one motor......) they last as long as anything else when properly setup and taken care of.
