A project i am planning for this or next year, would like Novak's opinion -

I have been playing with higher voltage and lower KV motors, In 1/10 scale cars, for a few years. My current setup is a converted RC10GT with a lehner 1200XL basic motor (1200kv) running 5s lipo and a quark 80 esc, It's a beast with torque to spare and awesome runtime (near 30 minutes on a 2500 5s flightpower pack 25c rating). Anyways, I am planning my next high voltage project, It will involve the Mamba max pro and a ballistic 21.5 or 25.5 crawler motor on 5 or 6s, The gearing is going to be somewhere in the mid 30's to 40 mph. The reason i am looking at the Novak 540 based motor is the 1200 is really too much torque, it has bent and twisted the diff outputs in my Gt, The basic XL at one time was classed as a MT motor. The smaller rotor of the ballistic might be better and still oiffer the efficiency i am after. This is not a quest for power or speed, i am after efficiency and cool running, Possibly an unconventional racing setup.
I understand, If i do this, I will be taking a novak motor over its intended and warranted level of operation.
My question is, Is there anything in the design that would prevent it running at up to 6s Lipo levels? Geared correctly of course
I also intend to run it sensored, Will that be impacted by the higher than normal voltage?
Thanks and sorry for the long post
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
