hey guys
after enjoying my brushless mbx5t for the last year i decided to take up a offer on a rc8t factory team which is just screaming out to be converted just thought i would stick a couple of questions out there

has anyone tried the associated e conversion kit?

with a rc8t,are there any parts that would be advisable to stock up on for spares. i went thru front arms,hinge pins and hingepin mounts on my 5t so would imagine similar parts on a 8t?

the front and rear chassis brace,are the aluminum ones better or not so better than the plastic/resin ones?

I had the AE conversion on my RC8Te (with hop-ups). I had no complaints about it except for the fact that the wire from the MMM was a bit short to go all the way back to the receiver box, but it's fits :)

I've only broken 1 part (shock end) on my RC8Te for the couples of months I had it and I bashed it pretty okay : 1 2 3 4

I always had the plastic ones and didn't have any troubles with them. 3.3maxx used the alu but broke them.

I just got finished building an RC8Te, I had gotten a good price on it and figured why not and slowly collected the upgrade parts off eBay that I wanted to add. I have been quiet disappointed, I wish I had gone with the Mugen. So in a last ditch effort to save the build I am replacing the AE conversion with Mike's kit. My chief complaints about the AE conversion is the motor mount (I could not get my Castle motor in without using more force than I wanted too or thought should be required.) and the cramped layout. They seem to have over thought it, Mike's is cleaner. And I am not trying to push Mike's stuff, just think it is better, hoping to save you the frustration I am having.

i to like the simplicity of the rcm mounts. i have an option to pick up a unused econ kit of a friend to use but am thinking about stickin with the monster.either a whole chassis setup or just a mount and battery tray

what spur/pinion ratio are you running? i found my mbx5t prospec a bit stiff with the kit alu braces.i handled better when i switched to the resin ones so think i might do the same with this beastie

I used to tun 14 up to 16T pinions on the stock spur (I guess 46T). I currently run the same with my MBX6Te.
