I had the AE conversion on my RC8Te (with hop-ups). I had no complaints about it except for the fact that the wire from the MMM was a bit short to go all the way back to the receiver box, but it's fits :)

I've only broken 1 part (shock end) on my RC8Te for the couples of months I had it and I bashed it pretty okay : 1 2 3 4

I always had the plastic ones and didn't have any troubles with them. 3.3maxx used the alu but broke them.
