Some SCT MMP 2400 Testing - 02.14.2011, 08:19 PM

Hello Folks,

Did some more testing on my car today, data is from an Eagletree V4 Logger

Car Setup Info
Slash 4x4
SCT MMP 2400kv Combo
Geared 21/52 (22/54 or 20/50), Slipper
Proline Streetfighter Tires
No body shell on car
Gradual rolling start to full throttle high speed tarmac passes
Theoretical speeds listed from scriptasylum calculator
Batteries were fully charged
Temps were taken 2 minutes after last run
Ambient Temp was 72f
20 minute cooldown between tests

2s 5000mah 40c Turnigy
Max Amps - 165a
Min Voltage - 6.99v
Max Power - 1167w
Theoretical Speed - 32 mph / 51 kmh
GPS Measured Speed - 37 mph / 59 kmh
Motor Temp - 110f

3s 5000mah 40c Turnigy
Max Amps - 157a
Min Voltage - 10.5v
Max Power - 1670w
Theoretical Speed - 48 mph / 77 kmh
GPS Measured Speed - 53 mph / 85 kmh
Motor Temp - 135f

4s 5000mah 40c Turnigy
Max Amps - 159a
Min Voltage - 14.7v
Max Power - 2360w
Theoretical Speed - 64 mph / 103 kmh
GPS Measured Speed - 67 mph / 108 kmh
Motor Temp - 145f

I'm not going to try 5s at this stage

I had a tire come off the rim half way down the street, was pretty scarey

Though I would also see how hot I could get it
After a 15 minute bash / wot tarmac runs, running 3s, ambient 80f

Motor 175f
ESC 145f

Cheers

2360w!!!! 3.1hp. Cool.

I would love to see how the system ran if you geared for 45mph for each voltage.

And I am very interested to see how it does on 5s without changing the gearing...

I'd love to see the graphs, I'm curious as to the amount of time it spent at the peak amps.

Good info though, and man that's an insane speed on 4S for a short course truck!!!
I wonder what kind of amps/temps you'd see geared for 35mph on 4S?
