mod 1 pinion for 52t savage spur

mod 1 pinion for 52t savage spur - 10.08.2006, 09:17 PM

which pinion i should use for a feigao 8xl,quark 125b on 52t spur on my savage..is 15t ok?and are all the one rcmonster's sell metal or delrin?i was lookin at the choices and only 16t comes as metal..or im wrong?

all the mod 1 pinions are either aluminum or steel.........

i'll let the savage guys chime in on what tooth pinion you need, but 16-18 sounds about right...........

I don't think any of the pinions are aluminum...Most are gonna be steel, but some are carbon steel...

How many cells are you using?

well for now ill be using 12cells only ib3800s..till i figure out how to operate lipos or whenever they come out of a lipo batt that is easy to work on..

another question..do the feigao 8xl motors comes with screws?ive read somewhere here that if the screw touches the inside of the motor it will burn something..is that right?

yes that is right, you could burn a coil. the motor does not come with screws. i used 6mm long screws and they do not touch the coils.

will it cause the burning of an esc or just the motor?how would u even know if theyre touchin the coil?

i bought the ubec and the pinion for now ..as soon as i get the stuff im gonna need a lot of help with regards to connecting the ubec to the esc..hope u bear with me guys..

No, it's an xls file, it's a calculation tool.. You need office or open-office to open it.
