Im buying a LMT 1940 8t motor from mike to use in my mbx 5 buggy. I was using a 7XL. How big is the performance difference between the LMT 1940 8t & a 7XL, also what is the phyiscal size difference ?.
You can feel the quality difference in your hand ; it will run cooler and will have more power. The 1940's are comparable to size with the XL's ~ the 1950's are a bit longer than the XL's.
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I sure the qualitly is better, i was really looking for a somewhat detailed performance report if thats possible . also are the endbells screwed on or do i need a clamp ?.
The performance is amazing. You'd think you would notice a ton of a difference, but you only notice enough to make you happy, which, imo isnt bad.. No matter how low i gear my lehner, it never gets above warm, even on a hot day.. You will have NO problems whatsoever with it. The whole motor is screwed, not clamped.

Very cool :017:
Im pleased to hear that the motor is screwed together & no clamp is needed. What do you consider a hot day in canada :005: .? A hot day in florida is 90 + If i could get my system to run cool even in that weather it will be even cooler in the spring & fall.
